Les s\u00e9jours \u00e0 J\u00e9rusalem devront se d\u00e9rouler entre le 1er octobre 2023 et le 31 d\u00e9cembre 2024.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: inherit; text-align: justify;\">Ces bourses constituent une aide \u00e0 la recherche et \u00e0 la r\u00e9daction de travaux acad\u00e9miques. Elles sont destin\u00e9es \u00e0 favoriser l\u2019identification, la description et\/ou l\u2019\u00e9tude des fonds (archives, imprim\u00e9s et photographies) d\u00e9tenus par la Custodie et qui sont l\u2019objet d\u2019une convention de partenariat entre la Custodie et la BnF en vue de leur num\u00e9risation, mise en ligne sur Gallica et valorisation, en particulier scientifique.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Les boursiers peuvent \u00eatre des doctorants, des post-doctorants ou des \u00e9tudiants de niveau master, sans contrainte de nationalit\u00e9 ou d\u2019\u00e9tablissement principal de rattachement.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Les fonds particuli\u00e8rement concern\u00e9s sont :<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Le fonds photographique ancien, dont environ 4 000 plaques de verre;<\/li>\n<li>Le fonds d\u2019ouvrages publi\u00e9s par les Presses Franciscaines (<em>Franciscan Printing Press<\/em>);<\/li>\n<li>Les archives de la pharmacie de la Custodie ainsi que les ouvrages de m\u00e9decine et de pharmacie conserv\u00e9s dans la biblioth\u00e8que;<\/li>\n<li>Une partie des fonds de firmans mamelouks et ottomans conserv\u00e9s dans les archives de la Custodie.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Les th\u00e9matiques de recherche pourront concerner l\u2019histoire et la description des fonds et\/ou l\u2019ensemble des aspects historiques, jusqu\u2019aux ann\u00e9es 1950, pour lesquels les fonds concern\u00e9s constituent des sources documentaires.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La p\u00e9riode d\u2019attribution des bourses est comprise entre le <strong>1er octobre 2023 et le 31 d\u00e9cembre 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Les candidatures seront examin\u00e9es par un comit\u00e9 compos\u00e9 de membres respectifs des trois institutions partenaires (Custodie, BnF, CRFJ) ainsi que d\u2019une experte ext\u00e9rieure. <strong>Les candidats seront inform\u00e9s des r\u00e9sultats de la s\u00e9lection au plus tard le 30 juin 2023. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Conditions d\u2019attribution des bourses :<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Les bourses seront attribu\u00e9es en\u00a0 trois versements. Le premier interviendra apr\u00e8s la signature de la convention qui se fera en personne au si\u00e8ge du CRFJ. Le second interviendra au cours de la p\u00e9riode d\u2019attribution et le troisi\u00e8me \u00e0 l\u2019issue de cette p\u00e9riode. Dans la mesure du possible, les versements seront effectu\u00e9s en euros sur des comptes bancaires domicili\u00e9s dans l\u2019Union europ\u00e9enne.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Le montant mensuel de la bourse est forfaitaire et s\u2019\u00e9l\u00e8ve \u00e0 1 875 \u20ac. Tous les frais de transport, logement, nourriture, visa, assurances obligatoires (m\u00e9dicale, responsabilit\u00e9 civile et rapatriement) sont \u00e0 la charge des boursiers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Le CRFJ et la Custodie ne pourront \u00eatre garant du boursier dans ses d\u00e9marches aupr\u00e8s des autorit\u00e9s locales, tout particuli\u00e8rement en mati\u00e8re d\u2019octroi de visa ou d\u2019autorisation de s\u00e9jour \u00e0 J\u00e9rusalem. Pour information, les titulaires d\u2019un passeport europ\u00e9en peuvent b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier d\u2019un visa automatique (et gratuit) de 3 mois au moment de leur entr\u00e9e en Isra\u00ebl, visa renouvelable une fois (pour 3 mois) par une nouvelle sortie\/entr\u00e9e sur le territoire.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Les boursiers pourront \u00eatre accueillis au CRFJ qui mettra \u00e0 leur disposition des espaces et des outils de travail et dont le directeur assurera le r\u00f4le de r\u00e9f\u00e9rent scientifique. Il seront \u00e9galement accueillis dans les locaux de la Custodie o\u00f9 l\u2019acc\u00e8s aux documents leur sera fourni.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Durant la p\u00e9riode d\u2019attribution de la bourse, les boursiers seront tenus d\u2019\u00eatre pr\u00e9sents principalement \u00e0 J\u00e9rusalem, de travailler \u00e0 la r\u00e9daction d\u2019un article acad\u00e9mique ayant vocation \u00e0 \u00eatre publi\u00e9, et d\u2019exposer oralement leurs recherches en cours dans les fonds de la Custodie. Ils seront \u00e9galement tenus de r\u00e9diger un rapport d\u2019activit\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019issue de la p\u00e9riode d\u2019attribution de la bourse.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u00c9l\u00e9ments constitutifs du dossier (en fran\u00e7ais ou en anglais) :<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Le formulaire de candidature compl\u00e9t\u00e9 et sign\u00e9;<\/li>\n<li>Le projet de recherche (2 pages minimum, 4 pages maximum) faisant clairement appara\u00eetre le fonds qui sera l\u2019objet de l\u2019\u00e9tude par le candidat, l\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat de ce fonds pour le projet, et le traitement \u00e9ventuel auquel le fonds sera soumis (identification, indexation, description, etc.);<\/li>\n<li>Un CV;<\/li>\n<li>Une lettre de motivation d\u2019une page maximum;<\/li>\n<li>Au minimum une lettre de recommandation d\u2019une personnalit\u00e9 scientifique (chercheur ou universitaire confirm\u00e9).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Le dossier est \u00e0 envoyer par voie \u00e9lectronique \u00e0 <a href=\"mailto:f.klos@terrasanctamuseum.org\">f.klos@terrasanctamuseum.org<\/a> en mettant en copie <a href=\"mailto:geraldine.chatelard@bnf.fr\">geraldine.chatelard@bnf.fr<\/a>, <a href=\"mailto:lemire.vincent@gmail.com\">lemire.vincent@gmail.com<\/a> et <a href=\"mailto:frastephane@custodia.org\">frastephane@custodia.org<\/a>, <strong>au plus tard le 31 mai 2023.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.crfj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Appel-a\u0300-candidatures.pdf\"><strong>Appel \u00e0 candidature<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.crfj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/FORMULAIRE-DE-CANDIDATURE.docx\">Formulaire de candidature<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Research Grants in Jerusalem &#8211;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>For the Study of the Archives and Documentary Collections &#8211;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>held by the Custody of the Holy Land in Jerusalem &#8211;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Deadline: 31 May 2023 &#8211;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Within the framework of the <em>Biblioth\u00e8ques d&rsquo;Orient<\/em> (Libraries of the Middle East) Project launched by the <strong><em>Biblioth\u00e8que nationale de France<\/em><\/strong> (BnF, National Library of France) in 2016 and of which the <strong>Custody of the Holy Land<\/strong> is a partner since November 2021, as well as within the framework of the scientific programme (Area 2: History, Traditions, Memory) of the <strong><em>Centre de recherche fran\u00e7ais de J\u00e9rusalem<\/em><\/strong> (CRFJ, French Research Centre in Jerusalem), the CRFJ and the BnF intend to award two or three research grants for a period of 3 to 6 months with a monthly lump sum of \u20ac1,875 thanks to financial support from <strong>The Mellon Foundation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The grants, intended to support research and scholarly publications, encourage the identification, description and\/or study of the collections (archives, printed documents and photographs) held by the Custody and which are the subject of a partnership agreement between the Custody and the BnF with a view to their digitisation, online dissemination on <em>Gallica<\/em>, the digital library of the BnF and its partners, and public use, particularly scholarly one.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The grant holders can be doctoral students, post-doctoral scholars or master&rsquo;s level students, regardless of nationality or main institutional affiliation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">These collections are:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211; The archives of the Pharmacy of the Custody as well as the medical and pharmacy volumes kept in the library;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211; The old photographic collection, including approximately 4,000 glass plates;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211; The collection of monographs and other volumes published by the Franciscan Printing Press;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211; Selected items from the collections of Mamluk and Ottoman firmans held in the archives of the Custody.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Research projects may include all historical aspects, up to the 1950s, for which the concerned collections represent sources. Projects may also cover the history and description of the concerned collections themselves.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Grantees are expected to conduct their research projects <strong>between 1 September 2023 and 31 December 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Applications will be examined by a committee composed of members of the three partner institutions and an external expert. <strong>Applicants will be informed of the results of the selection process by 30 June 2023. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Requirements Related to the Awarding of Grants<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The grants will be awarded in three installments, the first of which will be paid after the signature of the grant agreement to take place in person at the headquarters of the CRFJ in Jerusalem. The second will be paid during the grant tenure, and the third at the end of the tenure. As far as possible, payments will be made in euros to bank accounts located in the European Union.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The amount of the scholarship is a monthly lump sum of \u20ac1,875. All costs related to travel, visa, accommodation, compulsory insurance policies (medical, civil liability and, if applicable, repatriation) shall be covered by the grantees.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The CRFJ and the Custody will in no case be able to facilitate the grant holder&rsquo;s dealings with the local authorities or vouch for the grantee, particularly with regards to the granting of visas or permits to stay in Jerusalem. For information purposes only, European passport holders can obtain a free unconditional entry visa valid for three months upon their arrival in Isra\u00ebl and have the visa renewed once for an additional three months by exiting and reentering the country.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The CRFJ will be ready to provide grantees with working space and equipment, and its director will act as scientific tutor. The Custody will give grantees access to documents and working space.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the grant tenure, grantees will be expected to be physically present principally in Jerusalem, work towards an academic publication making use of the Custody\u2019s collections, and deliver an oral presentation of their research project.
