Le Centre de recherche fran\u00e7ais \u00e0 J\u00e9rusalem est un \u00e9tablissement de recherche sous tutelle du Minist\u00e8re de l’Europe et des Affaires \u00e9trang\u00e8res – MEAE, du the National Centre for Scientific Research<\/a> (CNRS), et de l’Universit\u00e9 Aix-Marseille (AMU) depuis 2019. Il a le statut d\u2019\u00ab Unit\u00e9 mixte des Instituts fran\u00e7ais de recherche \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tranger \u00bb ((UMIFRE n\u00b0 7 CNRS \u2013 MEAE),<\/strong>). C\u2019est aussi une Unit\u00e9 d’appui \u00e0 la recherche du CNRS ((UAR 3132<\/strong>).<\/span><\/p>\n

The functioning of the CRFJ is defined in an inter-ministerial agreement signed on 5 December 2000 and regularly updated. This agreement provides that all scientific activities of the CRFJ follows the missions of the research units associated to CNRS.<\/p>\n

In application of the above, the CRFJ Director is appointed by the MEAE. He is also the Director of the CNRS Research Unit, UAR 3132..<\/span><\/p>\n

In the CNRS, the CRFJ is headed by the French National Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities (INSHS)<\/p>\n

The institutes IFRE and UMIFRE are organised in regional centres. Each regional centre has a scientific and strategic council (C2S) with a minimum of ten French and\/or foreign scientists designed as \u201cscientifically qualified members\u201d appointed by mutual agreement by the MEAE and the CNRS for four years, renewable once for two years.<\/p>\n
